Depending on the size of sales, DDM stores can be grouped into three. On average, the stores on top turn over about KRW 15 mil ~ 30 mil a day, the stores in the middle, around KRW 7 mil ~ 15 mil, the rest KRW 7 mil and below. Out of the est. total number of stores in DDM, 30 thousand, approximately 15% belong to the top, 30% to the middle and the 55% to the rest. So cash traded per day in DDM is quite a sum.
No. of staff
As mentioned in other posts, there are usaually three staffs working in a store. For small sized businesses, the owner works as one of the staffs and as a designer also. Sometimes, the owner employs an assistant designer. For bigger sized businesses, there are two or more than two designers and three separate staffs. The bigger sized stores are likely to have been in the business for a long time and be equipped with more items. But of course, size is not all that matters. If you search hard, you'll likely come across good products in small sized stores, too.
